Helicopter hits power line: major power outage

Fresh products could no longer be sold.
Spinach, yogurt, milk and ice have been thrown into shopping carts by the staff.
Then the fresh products were dumped in a container. It was no longer safe to sell the products to customers.
'We are probably not the only ones, more supermarkets had to empty the coolers', a supermarket employee said.
Ten years ago it happened in an equivalent accident
Nearly ten years ago, more than 50,000 households in the Bommeler and Tielerwaard had no power for days because an Apache helicopter hits a high-voltage cables. The accident happened at the time during an exercise by Defense. The power outage then led to a million damage.
